Magic Story is a house where every room plays its part. Wizarding props, interactive touches and dishes made by hand bring home cooking together with a modern kitchen. Nothing here is left to chance: every plate has its own story, every room its own charm.

The Door to a Magical World

Just a few minutes from the centre of Kranjska Gora, right by the main road, stands a house where reality blends with magic. Before you even reach the entrance, a legendary blue flying car greets you, hinting that behind these walls is no ordinary restaurant. But the real magic is hidden only behind the door … Step into Magic Story, where every experience begins with a story.

Our mum makes the gnocchi to grandma's recipe. Our guests voted the burgers the best in Kranjska Gora. Everything that reaches the table is prepared in our own kitchen.

For our youngest guests we have cloaks, hats and wands, so they can become part of the story themselves.

Witch Garden

An outdoor terrace in the glow of string lights, wrapped in greenery with the Julian Alps behind. In autumn the surroundings turn to warm autumn colours.

Smoke and Surprise

Some dishes are served in a cloud of dry ice. Once the smoke clears, the plate is revealed.

A Trick at the Table

While you wait for the food, a magic trick at your table may take you by surprise, to the delight of children and adults alike.

A Live Wizard

On selected dates a real wizard entertains guests table-side. We publish the current dates on Facebook and Instagram.

Magic Story in Kranjska Gora completely exceeded my expectations. The place has such a warm and cozy atmosphere, beautifully decorated with a lot of love and creativity. Excellent place to spend a real moment of pleasure on the theme of magic. The restaurant is extremely well decorated and the general atmosphere is very positive. Magic Story stands on the main road, a few minutes from the centre of Kranjska Gora. There is free parking outside the restaurant, and the Austrian border is a short drive away.
